I applied and then received a call from a recruiter, Jeff, inviting me to interview with the hiring manager for the role. After responding to confirm my interest, I never received a call or email back until a system generated email was sent letting me know that they "do not have an appropriate position". My advice would be to get your act together and follow up with candidates before sending out a mass generated email.
