I had a initial conversation scheduled with the Recruiter, which was more of a sympathy chat than an interview. I was basically told that my application wouldn’t have even been looked at if I wasn’t recommended by another employee. Ultimately, it was a waste of time for all involved and pointless preparing for the initial interview. I was also told that it would be down to luck of the hiring manager and whether or not they would want to train someone. Not a pleasant experience at all.
