      Quality Engineer Interview

      Jul 13, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Zipline in Jun 2019

      Interview

Applied online, Got an email within a week asking to answer a few questions. I replied the next day. Then heard nothing, then out of nowhere after a MONTH got an email asking to schedule a phone interview. Then in the interview was asked mostly behavior, situational questions.. nothing much hard. Then was told that he will discuss notes with the team and again will schedule a technical phone screen interview with another guy. I was dumbfounded. Why didn't you take the guy with you so could have asked both technical and behavioral questions and could have gotten a much better understanding of the candidate? Isn't it better to understand the person at the same time in both technical and personal aspects? I never experienced such a long and unpredictable process... Save your time and most important respect the time, feelings and work of the candidate. You are not an MNC.. also you are not making a spacecraft which will carry humans to Mars.. so don't behave like so picky and act like you are a big multinational company with hundreds of thousands of employees.. .. startups should work in a fast pace and should be able to make decisions fast and efficiently.. not going through a million processes just to make you feel that you are so much important and select the right/perfect person... I applied because I was passionate about their work and thought I won't have to go thru a long process of MNCs and NO communication with the candidates afterward and such a slow, multistep process. Let the people know the result and reduce the time of the process.
