Applied online. I received an email from a talent partner a few weeks later asking for my availability for an initial call, which resulted in a drawn-out process of finding a slot to speak, with missed appointments on the company's side.
Eventually had an interview booked with the hiring manager, with the first appointment delayed at late notice. On the second agreed slot, the hiring manager turned up 15 minutes late, only after I had emailed to ask if the interview was still going ahead.
The interview went very well, with verbal feedback from the hiring manager suggesting I would be put through to the next stage, depending on whether they could increase the salary to closer to my expectations.
Later received an email asking what the minimum salary I would accept would be, and if they could meet it, they would end the interview process. Felt at this point that I had put in enough effort into chasing and preparing interviews, just for interviewers to be delayed or not turn up, that I was not prepared to low-ball myself so that they could avoid negotiating on salary and other benefits. I have not heard back after asking for full details of what they could offer in terms of salary and benefits.
