Process started smooth and quickly. Had a phone screen with the Recruiter and moved onto the next round which was a phone screen with the hiring manager. Had the second phone screen two days after the first. I was told that I would hear back from the recruiter the following week whether they would like to proceed further. Heard nothing from the recruiter after over a week. Sent a follow up email to the recruiter simply asking if I was still begin considered a candidate, received no response. While I'm fine with the fact that it didn't proceed further I find it unprofessional to not answer back with any response. It only takes a minute to send a quick email saying they've decided to go in a different direction. The part of not knowing what's going on is frustrating.
