You have to hold a 200RYT from YF, apply online, complete four essay questions, then assist in a minimum of four apprenticeships under a master trainer. Then you will be instructed if you are accepted of it you need to complete additional training prior to hiring or if you have not been accepted.
There were group yoga instructor interviews with 10 people or so, you each had to teach part of a sequence and then you were brought outside to chat with the manager of the studio. It felt like a 'pretty girls club" where you needed to have the right 'yoga' look to teach. It was very unprofessional, the 'judges' of the auditions were late and it felt like they were only looking for those that could help them market or do free social media work for them. They did not have great organization or information after the interview for those that were chosen, including no information on pay and it was just expected you could show up for training for a few days without knowing compensation or being officially hired. It felt very sketchy.
