After the initial interview with their internal recruiting manager, there was an expert interview with a lead and a senior. Following that, a series of 3 stages of interviews with members of Yager, essentially revolving around how well an applicant would fit in with the studio. All were scheduled for an hour and all lasted this duration, showing a high degree of professionalism. Overall Yager is a great studio, with equally great people. The only reason I didn't take the offer was the state of the industry in general. I'm even still unsure if I even made the right call going in a different career direction! Mainly because that's how appealing the idea of working with them was. There's a real sense of dedication and responsibility with Yager. You get the feeling they care about their people as much or more than the work itself. One of the few examples I've seen where even the founders themselves are still very much creating with the teams after a quarter of a century. Truly inspiring stuff. As you can probably tell, I gained real admiration for these guys... Also their current hiring manager is a rockstar! Very professional, attentive, and genuinely felt like a really nice person. Really set the standard for Yager, but even then the rest of the studio lived up to the hype.
