Following my application, a week later I received an email asking a good time to do a phone interview and for a few general questions to be answered (salary expectations etc.) Took two days more for the interviewer to call despite follow up email. Phone call went well and it was indicated that confirmation of face to face interview would be within next few days. After a week of not hearing anything, I emailed to ask status - no reply. Two weeks later I sent an email to the main “Careers” email address indicating my interest in the role and asking status. Again no reaponse. Finallly 6 weeks later I’ve received a tenplate email saying the role has been filled. Previously I held Xero up on a pedestal as the ultimate employer brand - all about culture, employee engagement and nimble processes. My view has completely changed and I’m disappointed at the way they disregarded one of their potential hires. I have learnt how never to treat candidates though which is the only positive outcome.
