I applied online. I interviewed at Wpromote, LLC in Jan 2026

      Interview

I applied for the position through LinkedIn and quickly received an email from the Head of Talent Acquisition. We scheduled an interview for the next day. The interview itself felt rushed and impersonal, much like other candidate experiences shared online, with the conversation coming across as somewhat performative. The very next day, I received a generic, canned rejection email. This pattern combined with similar reviews makes me seriously doubt whether the company is actually hiring for the role or simply collecting resumes, ultimately wasting candidates' time and contributing to frustration in the job search process.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Wpromote, LLC in Oct 2021

      Interview

A recruiter reached out to me about this position. I was really excited about this opportunity because their website made the company seem really great and that they have amazing benefits and culture. Did my initial interview with the recruiter and it was a lot more technical than I expected. The questions were kinda strange for just an initial screening because recruiters tend to not have a ton of industry knowledge or experience so I'm not sure if she understood what I was saying in my interview when I dove into more specific topics since she didn't really share much about herself. The recruiter was a bit abrasive and not really personable so it did make me question the legitimacy of the culture they portrayed on their site. Usually, during an interview, the recruiter would share more info about the position and team but I didn't really get any insight as to what the team was like and what kind of projects I would be working on. I ended up accepting another offer because of this.
