      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at WorkPath Partners in Mar 2025

      Interview

I applied for the role and a recruiter messaged me on LinkedIn to discuss further. Our conversation went well and I was informed they would be contacting their ceo to set up 2nd round. Monday came and I didn’t hear back, I called and emailed, no response . I tried again on Wednesday and the recruiter answered saying they were busy and would connect with ceo for 2nd round and would let me know the availability. At this point I asked if I was still moving forward which I was assured yes it was just finding a time to connect with ceo. I never heard back even after I called and emailed multiple times. Days went by again. It got to the point I called the front desk to ask if the recruiter worked there. They assured me they did and weren’t sure why they hadn’t followed up. The recruiter then messaged me that they were in meetings and would get final decision from their ceo first thing in am and let me know. Again I get nothing from the recruiter. I called the front again and now the recruiter was “sick” . I finally got a response today that they wouldn’t move forward with me due to budget cuts , they needed to move with someone with lower level for the position. I replied to get more clarity when the recruiter now said I never said you would be on next round just to see if ceo wanted to schedule a round 2. This is false as the 2 times I got her on phone she said yes I’m moving forward she’s just trying to schedule. What I found frustrating is the lack of communication and the blatant lie. If you did not want to move forward that’s fine but why continue to say you’re trying to get it scheduled and will follow up just to not follow up and now it’s suddenly the role has changed . Even if you are waiting to connect with your ceo, which again is odd since this was stated as a top need it doesn’t take 10 days to get a response. What is hard about sending a message and saying hey I know you’re looking for an update the ceo is still deciding instead of stringing me along. Again if you didn’t want to move forward then be upfront don’t let it linger . The lack of follow up & delayed responses were frustrating . It shouldn’t be this difficult to get in touch with the recruiter . Looking back this isn’t a company I would want to work at.
