I applied online. I interviewed at Wistia (Boston, MA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Sent me an automated email not even a day after I applied saying thank you for your interview with us... I never got offered an interview from them (they sent that in error) and never heard back about actually getting an interview scheduled, which left a sour taste in my mouth about their recruiting process and how they manage that.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wistia (Carlsbad, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process was very straight forward. A recruiter reached to me via Linkedln to do an initial short phone call. Then, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager. It was a conversational interview and that made me feel very comfortable. For the third interview, I met with another Sr. PM. While still conversational, the interview has a more traditional style and I was asked a bunch of technical questions. After that, there was a presentation and a couple more cultural fit interviews. Everyone I met with was kind and knowledgable. The recruiter was very responsive and attentive. They even provided feedback about my interviews after deciding they were not moving forward with my application. In general I had a great experience interviewing with Wistia.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to seek stakeholder alignment and what was your role.
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Wistia in Mar 2025
Interview
The interview process was thorough and multi-stage, spanning several weeks and including a total of six interviews. It began with an initial recruiter screen, followed by a series of in-depth interviews with team members across marketing, partnerships, and leadership. I was also asked to complete a final project that included a presentation to a panel of five team members.
While the process was well-structured and gave a good sense of the team culture and role expectations, communication after the final interview became less responsive. Despite positive feedback from the recruiter and a timeline for a decision, follow-up required prompting, and ultimately no feedback or closure was provided when I wasn't selected.
Overall, Wistia appears to be a mission-driven company with a collaborative team, but the interview experience could be improved by providing clearer and more timely communication during the final stages.

Question 1
They asked about my professional background and experience leading marketing initiatives, but the main focus was on a final project presentation. They were looking for someone who could bring creativity, drive strategy, and execute effectively. The presentation was meant to showcase not just ideas, but how I would turn them into results.
