I participated in the hiring process for an Art Director position at Wingz Media. After receiving an invitation for an interview and confirming my availability, I waited at the agreed time, but unfortunately, I did not receive any response or explanation from the company.
I believe communication is key during any hiring process, and not receiving any feedback can leave a negative impression on candidates who are dedicating their time and effort. Even if the interview couldn’t take place, it would have been important to receive a notification or rescheduling.
I hope they can improve this part for future candidates, as the rest of the process was organized up until that point.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Wingz (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2020
Interview
Not the worst interview but not that great either. Recruiter reached out and began the interview by stating that he assumed I had more experience than I did. Seemed slightly condescending and then I ended up getting ghosted (2 weeks no response). Seems like an interesting enough company but this wasn't the most professional experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wingz (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I applied online and heard back in about a week from HR. First, we set up a 20-25 minute Skype interview with one member of the team; afterwards, I came in for an onsite interview and had one-on-ones with four different members of the marketing team. These one-on-ones lasted about 30 mins each, and I was asked questions related to the positions that each of the employees held (brand management, analytics, etc). After a few days, I then was asked to provide a number of professional references.

Question 1
What do you already know about Wingz?
Have you used Wingz before, and have you heard of it before applying?
What are some ideas you have for the company to grow (with some specific examples about locations/demographics)?
What's a challenging situation you've had in the past that you overcame and eventually learned from?
Thank you for your posting your interview experience; especially highlighting the questions that were asked. It is always a curious thing when a candidate isn't familiar with the Company that they are interviewing for. You were well prepared and this process was a success for both of us!
