I had one interview with two partners. One of which I’d be working under and the other was in a different office but worked with the same big client. They were both very nice.

They asked me how I felt about the 1950 billing requirement.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Wilson Elser (New York, NY) in Jan 2025
Interview
Spoke with the recruiter over the phone and then had a zoom interview scheduled a few weeks later. The interview was odd as the partner interviewing me gave me the “we will hire you if you promise to stay” vibes. Seems like the firm has a high turnover and they are looking for associates who are willing to work 2000 plus billables with 120k salary.

Why are you leaving your current firm? Are you comfortable with working 4-5 days a week in person?
It was a long interview with 2-3 partners in the room. They asked a lot of questions about experience with billing and clients. They also wanted to go over writing samples.
