I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at WhiteHat Security (San Jose, CA) in Dec 2018
Interview
I had two phone interviews. One with a recruiter and another one with a hiring manager. I then went on site twice. I met with 3 people one day and that followed up with 1 more interview with a senior leader on another day, She was supposed to be on the same day as the other people, but couldn't make it. So I had to drive 45 minutes each way for a 30-minute interview with her.
The interview process was disorganized. One day I was supposed to meet the senior person for the final interview and they called me just before I was about to leave to reschedule because something came up for the senior person. I didn't have a good vibe with the senior leader. We just didn't connect and I had a feeling it may keep me from getting a job offer, even though the hiring manager made it seem like it was a formality since he asked me questions about when I could start, etc.
I didn't get a job offer and I had to chase down the recruiter to get an answer and feedback about 10 days later. I pretty much knew I was going to get the job at that point. She stated they went with a referral and were probably going with another for the other opening.
Overall it worked out for the best as I was lukewarm on the company . The office seemed like it was something from the early 2000's and the interviewing process was disorganized and to be honest, not very thorough.
