Well+Good interview questions

I applied online and they first asked me to do a timed edit test, which was very fair and actually a lot of fun. From that, they asked me in for an interview and then asked me to write two "test" posts for the section I'd be writing for which I would get paid freelance and they'd see if they wanted to hire me. The problem was that I waited a month between each step to even hear back and once I submitted the test posts, I never heard anything from them until I invoiced them much later and asked what happened. They had paused the process to hire other positions but didn't let me know.
