      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Webdam (San Mateo, CA) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Overall the process was, challenging but fair. The most difficult part was the first coding challenge, because the system that was used (HackerRank), had some issues, and wasn't a realistic representation of what one would actually do in the real world. I felt that I was able to be myself and showcase my skills and personality very well during the interview process. At first it was a hard to gauge how the phone screens and the coding challenge went, until I got asked to come onsite. Onsite, the day was long, but very good. I got to meet 3 developers (each separately), the manager, and the CTO. I enjoyed meeting everyone, as it gave me a good idea of what the team would be like.

      Question 1

One question was an AJAX coding problem. (don't remember the exact context)

I applied online. I interviewed at Webdam in Apr 2017

      Interview

I did first a coding challenge, which was interesting, and a tech phone screen. I had a great experience with the interview process: fast, well-organized and nice people (except for the phone tech screen). However, my experience with the phone screen was pretty bad. They asked me some useless things about my coding challenge and a personal question about my background that wasn't appropriate. The technical questions were tricky for nothing: the kind of questions you know how to answer when you're a beginner or google could answer in one sec like "what does this (never used) CSS property". Nothing really challenging and consistant for someone experienced.

What does this (I don't remember, almost never used) CSS property?
