I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Waystar (Atlanta, GA) in Aug 2022
Interview
1. Recruiter interview
2. Sales Manager interview
3. Panel interview that consisted of Sales Manager; Manager of Ambulatory Sales; and Direct Sales Manager.
4. Director of Sales
5. The interview process was a month long.
The company had shifted their focus based on candidates in the Louisville, Kentucky area. They had mentioned I interviewed very well, however the company denied me because i didn't have revenue cycle experience. This wasn't included on the job description below:
What We're Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant experience.
• 2+ years of proven sales experience in a quota-bearing role.
• Strong customer relationship skills and passionate about continuous learning opportunities.
• Team player that is comfortable asking for help, as well as helping others.
• Enthusiastic to own a quota and strive to achieve it.
• Outgoing and a self-starter with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce CRM software is a plus.
• Healthcare background and/OR industry experience a plus.
In addition, the recruiter had encouraged me to continue checking their career page for other positions that may be available, however he knew my background was in sales. I am confused by the response and what they were looking for as this description did not state that in the job outline. The company advocates for clarity and transparency, however it seems they mean that to their clients and not in the hiring process with the information they give you. If the recruiter knew ahead of time that the hiring managers were looking for someone specifically who has had revenue cycle experience, it comes off as a lack of communication/transparency internally. The company says it is committed to diversity + inclusion, but when you look at their website with their leadership team, board of directors, and linkedin profiles to see/witness people of diversity.......it is very very limited. Overall, I felt as if I was just another statistic and a check box to go through the hiring process to showcase to the Chief People Officer on how they are "advocating for diversity and inclusion".

Question 1
Why Waystar?
What are you looking to get out of your next role?
Behavioral questions
Sales pitch with AE managers over waystar solutions. They really just want to see how you can lead the room and not let the client throw you off the rails.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Waystar (Louisville, KY) in Jul 2024
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter within about a week. The process included an initial phone screen, followed by a video interview with a sales manager. Questions were mostly behavioral, such as past experiences, how I handle challenges, and teamwork examples.
The next step was to do a short sales pitch on a topic of my choosing. It was casual and conversational and not looking for "sell me this pen".
The interviewers were friendly and professional. The process moved at a reasonable pace and expectations were clearly communicated. I appreciated the transparency and accessibility to the interviewers.
