PREPARE TO BE GHOSTED IF UNSUCCESSFUL
The beginning of the process was very straightforward, I got contacted for a screening call about a week after applying. The call went really well and was successful for a first round interview which took place at the office. Both interviewers during the screening call and first round interview were genuinely lovely and the experience was actually positive, I had a good time and it didn’t feel like I was being interviewed at all.
However like someone else on here they’ve never updated me following that. It’s been months so it’s clear that I was not successful but the least they can do is let you know. I sent a few follow-up emails but radio silence, it’s quite disrespectful for a big major label and has really made me change my perception of it. I’m particularly disappointed as I felt truly seen and respected during the interview process but this was clearly just a facade.
Candidates nowadays don’t really care about feedback or being told they’re unsuccessful because it happens, it’s life, especially in the current job market. But they care about being respected as humans, it takes a lot of time to prepare for an interview, effort and money to travel to the office, it can also be very stressful, so the least you can do is send an automated email notifying them of the outcome. I’ve been on the other side of the process and it takes seconds to show respect to people who’ve dedicated time, effort and money to you.
If I was told of the income you can be sure I would have left a positive review on here, despite not being successful, as the interviewers were good.
