I was brought in for an in-person interview. We briefly discussed my portfolio. I was brought in for a revit test a week later and sat at a computer and completed it and left.

It was a great interview experience, although I was surprised to have to take a computer exam to demonstrate my knowledge on CAD and ability to follow instructions. This requirement should have been communicated before the interview.

Really weird experience for an architectural interview. My second interview was via zoom/teams. I just felt like the conversation was dry and I guess the person was waiting for me to continue our very awkward conversation. Typically at an architectural interview we start with going through our portfolio, but this person didn’t even want to see portfolio. They talked about their office and team. And they pretty much ended the interview after 20 min. And no follow up telling me if I got the job or not. Firms that do this are red flags, just like Gensler.
