It was a standard interview, speaking to how my past experience relates to the role, albeit pretty laid back. I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the interviewer, and we had a very engaging conversation. I felt like I was what they were looking for, but alas, I didn't get an additional interview and didn't receive any feedback despite my request.

Interview
I recently applied for the Senior Product Manager position at Wanderu, excited by the opportunity to contribute my expertise in UX design for booking engines, AI-driven search capabilities, and product marketing with a strong focus on Go-To-Market strategies in travel and hospitality. Despite a rigorous application process, including extensive answers and demonstrating a perfect fit for the role, I was informed that I wouldn't be moving forward in the process.
While I respect the decision, the lack of specific feedback after such a detailed application was disappointing. A more detailed explanation or feedback would have been greatly appreciated for my professional development. My experience with major brands like Langham, Mandarin Oriental, and Sabre/Synxis aligns closely with the requirements of the role, making the generic response a bit perplexing.
That said, I still hold Wanderu in high regard and appreciate the initial prompt response from the CTO. My hope is that future applicants receive more detailed feedback to aid in their professional growth.

Interview
After applying, I received an email from the hiring manager, and setup a time for an interview. The interview was 45 minutes. The manager discussed the role and Wanderu for a bit. I gave my spiel about who I am. The manager then asked me a series of questions about my fit for the role. This was all normal. At some point, it became obvious he had rejected me already. When it came my turn to ask him questions, he was very unprofessional. Visibly distracted and typing away on his laptop and not listening. Answers to my questions were terse. At one point, he even said, "Why would you ask that?" Unprofessional and rude behavior. At least I got an email very quickly afterward with the rejection.
