      Learning and Development Manager Interview

      May 13, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at WYLD in May 2021

      Interview

Applied for the position and received a request for an interview with a link - I selected a date and time and received a calendar invite/confirmation for the following Monday. Sometime over the weekend the recruiter moved the phone interview to Thursday but did not inform me. I emailed Monday prior to the originally scheduled time asking for a confirmation that the interview was moved. I never heard from the recruiter about the change. The phone interview did occur on Thursday. Overall the interview was easy-going and the recruiter friendly. The recruiter did say that they had a lot of applicants and wanted someone ASAP and didn't seem too sold on me when I said I would need to give two weeks notice at my current employer - so I can't say I am too surprised that I was not considered for a follow-up interview. My advice to Wyld is to take a look at your interviewing practices and how it impacts your employer brand. As much as you are looking for the right fit the candidate is also evaluating if that is the type of employer they want. I would encourage recruiters to keep this in mind and maintain better communication and being respectful of candidates time.
