WSPY interview questions

I was contacted several weeks after applying. In fact, it was so long after the fact that I was surprised that the job was still open. When I arrived for the interview, I was given what appeared to be a written personality test. I’m always a bit wary of companies that rely on these. I interviewed with two individuals in a meeting room which looked as though it hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. In addition to standard questions about background and sales experience, they also asked a number of personal questions about hobbies and lifestyle (nothing illegal, but still a bit personal). After the interview, I heard nothing for several weeks. After emailing the main contact, she said they had been involved in a big project but had decided to not extend an offer. No explanation given. What is strange is that I was told during the interview that the position was open because of someone getting ready to retire, yet this position seems to be posted every few months. Either these people are extremely picky or they just like to interview candidates for some unknown reason. The interesting thing is that the inside sales job for radio advertising that they described doesn’t sound that difficult. If you have any kind of inside sales experience and have a decent phone presence, you could probably do it. The sales cycle is short.
