      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Volume Nine (Phoenix, AZ) in Jun 2025

      Interview

The application and interview process had a handful stages and they were super clear from the beginning, which I really appreciated. The reply to my application included this: We get asked this a lot, so here's a quick run-down of our hiring process: Step 1: We'll review the applications to verify candidates meet the minimum requirements. Step 2: If you move to the next phase, we'll ask you to complete a very short questionnaire. Step 3: We'll review your questionnaire & resume and ask for a video and anything else you'd like to send our way. Step 4: Our top candidates at this point will be asked to complete a 1 hour interview (currently we're planning on 5 total interviews in this stage) Step 5: The final step will be to ask our top candidate(s) to put together an initial 90-day success plan and goal for themselves if they were hired at our organization. And they also included tips on how to stand out. Referencing how they receive 500+ applications for each role. From my perspective, here are some more details on how the process went…. 1. Send in your application and resume (basic and normal!) Then if you made it through that... 2. Fill out a short questionnaire. It was just a handful of questions and, in their own words, to ensure you're not AI and that you're not relying on AI for your application. Took less than 10 minutes. Then if you made it through that… 3. Record and send in a 3-minute or less video to help them “get to know you and why we should hire you” Then if you made it through that… 4. A virtual interview with real people. My interview was with the CEO and VP as they have been the primary forces behind their sales process, and this job was created to offload sales tasks from their plates, especially the CEO. I thought the flow of the interview was great and everything went smoothly. The questions covered not only the job but also my past experience. I really felt like I was being interviewed, not just being interviewed generically, so it made me feel better that I was a serious candidate and that they really took their time with the interview. Then if you made it through that… 5. 90-day success plan. Once I was past the interview, I was asked to draft up a 90-day plan of how I’d be successful in this new role and what my goals would be.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Before the interview, they sent me a link to a current client's website and asked me to come to the call prepared to discuss the client in relation to the agency's services. During the interview, they asked how I would approach a discovery call with the client, only having their website.
