      Entry Level Marketing Associate Interview

      May 21, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vital Acquistions (Los Angeles, CA) in Jul 2022

      Interview

One of the first things they talked about was how much money you can make here. However, from asking questions and whatnot, it wasn't clear exactly how they made the money. It appeared as if they met at an office at 8am, congratulated each other on their accomplishments, then drove over to Costco to stand outside and sell... something. I don't think the people working here are bad, so to speak, but the business seemed a bit too sketchy, so I didn't pursue a second interview.

      Question 1

There wasn't much questioning, but they had the classics of "Tell me about a time you took leadership" and all that. There was more of a focus on the company, instead of Vital Acquisitions getting to know me and my credentials for the job.

Dear Reviewer, We're sorry to hear that you had a negative experience with us as of course that is not our intention. We would like to clarify that we work within local retailers as a third party not outside of them without authorization as your review implies. Corporations spend decades trying to get contracts with these retailers so working inside of them is not something that should be easily dismissed neither is the clients that we work with. The way we make money is from the revenue generated by the new customer acquisition that we generate for our clients. From the nature of your response it seems as if you may have been expecting a corporate role of which this is not. It is sales and marketing with an entrepreneurial spirit and it is not for everyone and we understand that. We wish you best of luck on your job search and thank you for your feedback!
