I applied online. I interviewed at Virginia General Assembly (Richmond, VA) in Dec 2025
Interview
I met one on one with the Delegate and Legislative Assistant to assess my compatibility and experience. I answered questions about why I wanted to work in the General Assembly, why I wanted to attend law school, and my general interest in policy, as well as specific policy areas I found interesting.

I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Virginia General Assembly (Richmond, VA) in Dec 2017
Interview
Easy, laid back. It went very fast and had an offer within a couple of days, however it was almost "too quick". This largely depends on the elected official you'll be working for.
