I applied online. I interviewed at Vera Bradley (Chicago, IL) in Feb 2010
Interview
I was already working at the store in a different position. I was approached by the Store Manager when the Assistant Manager job was open. She said I would be a great fit for the job, and should apply. You then apply online via the company website. After several weeks a date and time was set for a phone interview with the District Sales Manager. I was scheduled the day of the interview, so it took place in the backrrom of the store. It was very difficult to keep focused and hear due to the fact that the stock associates and other sales associates were in and out of the room., hearing the entire conversation. The only other option was to go to the Food Court on my cell phone, with music playing over the loud speaker and people eating etc., due to the fact it was the lunch hour. The questions all related around customer service and the Companys' core values.

Sent in my resume through a third party hiring website. Later that week I got an email from the General Manager, she then set me up from an interview at the store location. This interview lasted about a hour.
Second interview was an over the phone interview with the District Manager, I was then offered a position later that day.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Vera Bradley
Interview
The entire interview process was very organized. I felt very comfortable throughout the interview. All questions made sense to the position I was interviewing for and my past experience. It was nice having two people interview so several bases were covered for my questions about the company and the position as well. Overall, it was a good experience.

I was called on three interviews: the first with the store manager, the second with the store manager of another store in the district, and the third with the district manager. All three interviews were very heavy on the behavioral questions and each lasted 45 minutes.
