I applied online. I interviewed at Vail Resorts in Sep 2019
Interview
Was contacted for a phone interview after applying online. I cleared my schedule for a half-hour, did a little research into the department, but was taken aback by the substance of the 10-minute call from the recruiter. She asked about four questions, only a couple of which had to do with work experience. She followed each answer with "fantastic!" Then told me if I had questions she'd try to answer them. I asked her to tell me about the team and hierarchy. She gave a very cursory answer, and I tried to ask another question, but she cut me off, saying "If you have no further questions..." It was actually bewildering. She referred to the position with a different title (albeit a similar title to the job listing). I did manage to ask about hiring timeframe, and she said she'd forward my information to the hiring manager and she expected to be in touch within a few days, but ... crickets. She did not respond to a thank you email I sent, nor to an email a week later asking if there was a status update. Just gave me a really bad impression about Vail Resorts!
