I met with a department chair for less than an hour. He asked me several questions about my background, qualifications, and teaching philosophy and style. He was very open to answering my questions about the job, and even supplied some hard-to-find information about things like pay and internal politics.

The interview process was not straight forward. I didn't get an interview after i submitted an application until I found someone who personally recommended me to the department chair. Then I got an opportunity for an interview. The questions mostly had to do with what i have written in the interview and how much experience i had and what kind.
