I applied online. I interviewed at United States Digital Service
Interview
After the screening, there was a technical interview and a behavioral interview. The technical interview was conducted by other designers about my design skills, the behavioral interview was conducted by someone else on the team, and meant to assess soft skills (conflict management, teamwork, organizational acumen, etc). The technical interview was standard fare, the behavioral interview questions were extremely vague, making them hard to respond to without repeating myself.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at United States Digital Service (Washington, DC) in Jul 2025
Interview
Had a recruiter contact me over phone. Then technical take home assessment where you had to build out an application based on a set of requirements. I got ghosted after this round, but there would've been 2-3 other technical rounds after this going over your assessment and resume

Question 1
Complete the take home assessment based on requirements
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United States Digital Service (Washington, DC) in Apr 2023
Interview
The interview was challenging, with a mix of EQ and IQ-focused questions.
On the EQ side, I was asked about handling stakeholder conflict, navigating ambiguity within cross-functional teams.
The IQ questions focused more on problem-solving under pressure, including a design exercise that required quick thinking, clear prioritization, and the ability to articulate trade-offs.
