The interview process was a joke. The first person that interviewed me told me within the first 5 minutes that he was looking for someone with a more complete skillset then what I had to offer and that he had re-posted the job. I could only wonder why I was there. At the end of the interview (which went well) he basically told me if they didn't find anyone better I would be a good fit. (Warning number one). A week later I was called in to meet the owner. (I guess they didn't find anyone better!) Immediately following that second interview I was told that I made a good impression with the owner and that I would be called in to meet the remainder of the staff and 'presumably' get an offer in a few days. This happened and a few days later I went in, met everyone, was introduced as the person replacing so and so. I picked out my cubicle and we discussed benefits and all but I was not given an actual offer. After a few days passed I grew concerned and I wrote to them asking what was going on. I was told they just found someone else they needed to interview but that they planned to hire me 'otherwise'. (What does that mean??) They promised they would get back to me in a few more days. They never did. After 2 weeks, I finally wrote them and asked what was going on and I got an email saying, basically, oops, sorry, I wrote an email but never actually sent it to you. Best of luck with your career. I am really really angry. Unprofessional. Immoral. Disrespectful. These are a few terms that come to mind. To waste my time like that and lead me on like that are completely unacceptable. I wish there was a real agency that policed this type of hiring behavior. I feel like civility is dead when it comes to companies and how they hire new employees.
