I recently interviewed for a Computer Scientist position. The interview process involved a panel of IT professionals, including IT Managers and a Program Manager.
While the interview was conducted professionally, I noticed a discrepancy between the position's advertised requirements and the focus of the interview questions. The questions centered on the responsibilities of an IT Management role (GS-2210), which differ from the Computer Scientist role (GS-1550) I applied for.
I recommend researching the specific duties and responsibilities of a GS-2210 position as well as GS-1550 to effectively prepare for the interview.

Question 1
One GS-2210 interviewer attempted to inquire about software development engineering. However, some of their questions, on the part of the interviewer, revealed a lack of familiarity with core concepts essential for a GS-1550 position. For instance, the interviewer incorrectly asserted that JSON is a computer programming language.
