      Human Resources Business Partner Interview

      Mar 25, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Phoenix, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2013

      Interview

I had two interviews, one off site with a recruiter, and then the second with the entire HR team. I was hired on the spot in the second interview. The process was very quick and painless. My recruiter kept in touch with me and updated me anytime there was a step in the process that was completed

      HR Business Partner Interview

      Mar 2, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. in Dec 2021

      Interview

Awkward process. First interview went very well. Second interview was extremely awkward. Interviewers had not looked at my resume before the interview. Seemed disinterested in my answers. Appeared to be doing other work during the interview.

      Human Resources Business Partner Interview

      Jun 14, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Port Saint Lucie, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. (Port Saint Lucie, FL) in Feb 2021

      Interview

The recruiter set up a video interview with one of the Senior HR Business Partners; it was a pleasant interview - not terribly in depth about the job but appropriate for a first interview. I reserved any further questions since she indicated I would next be meeting with other members of the HRBP team and leaders. I asked if there were any areas where she felt I lacked qualifications (so that I could address them then.) No, she replied, she liked that I had the PHR and SHRM-CP. I sent a genuine thank-you email because it had been what I thought was a good interview and I was looking forward to moving forward in the process. Then … crickets. It’s probably been 4 months by now and I never heard ANY follow-up on that interview. If you’ve met with a candidate and they’re not what you’re looking for, send them an email or call them. Wrap up the process. It’s part of your job in recruiting and it’s the professional thing to do. It tells me so much about the company I was considering working for when they would treat me this way as an applicant.

Tell me about working in an environment where there has been a lot of change.
