I applied a month or two and received a phone call to schedule a panel interview. The panel interview was very stiff. There were 3 people and one person listening in the phone system. I am glad I wore a tie, because everyone was dressed business professional (suites). The interview was timed and very "regulated" and ended with a typing sample - that was also timed. I tried to make the interview more personable, but it seemed that robots were interviewing me. Most of their questions were the same, but worded differently and towards the end I was running out of examples on how I had to explain technically hard subjects to someone that has no idea what you are talking about.
I asked them at the end how they felt the new administration (Trump) would effect them and they all got very uncomfortable - I felt it was worthy question. Also, I asked them what they liked about working there, one of them couldn't name anything off hand other than the stability.
