I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (Washington, DC) in Sep 2015
Interview
after you apply online, you will be asked to do a online assessment. and then a test you will have to take a at a testing facility. you must score atleast a 70%.after that the hiring process is very time consuming and can take a while to get your foot in the door. I advise you do what I did which is apply to more than one position. I received a interview request for each position. During the interview process you sit in a room with 50-120 people. You listen to different managers talk about the pay, what they expect, etc, for about a hour and then they call you row by row for a interview. About 3 days-1 month after the interview, you should keep checking your email to see if you received a hiring consent for where you will have 3 or 7 days to agree you will do employment with them. You may receive a request to take a drug test and receive a background check, before or after the interview. the quicker you do it the better. after you accept the position they will begin processing you for fingerprinting at a later date, that day you will receive your start date and time as well. If your applying as a pse clerk you will be called based on your score on the 473 test. You maybe be able to choose your tour.
