Take a quick skills test, sign papers, take a drug test, see if you have any tattoos, do situps and pullups, ask if you sure that you want to join. They tell you about the Marine Corps and about the process of becoming a Marine. After the make you sign and papers and pick a date for you to got to MEPS where you swear in to join the military.
Went to see a recruiter and listened to the sales pitch. I had a pulse, passed the ASVAB and was medically qualified. Pretty easy. Went to boot camp a month later. That was not so easy.

Long and lengthy process. Don't expect to start that day. Recruiters will say lots of things that may or may not be true. Lots of screens and tests before you can get a date.
