Fitness Standards
Physical Training is paramount to the Air Force Mission. Airman and Officers strive to maintain physical fitness standards, ensuring that we are "Fit to Fight". All Air Force ROTC cadets are now required to attend Physical Training classes. The University of Southern Mississippi allows cadets to take these courses for academic credit.
The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) must be taken every term by all cadets enrolled in Air Force ROTC. Non-scholarship GMC cadets must only attempt the test. Scholarship cadets and cadets in the POC, however, must pass the test each fall and spring. The PFT is composed of three events, with a five minute rest between events. A body-mass circumference measurement is also taken. To pass the test, all events must be completed and a minimum score of 75 must be obtained.
The PFT events are:
Push-ups
Abdominal Crunches (Sit-ups)
1.5 mile run
Four year process of ROTC/Academy with weekly/monthly training to ensure readiness for service. Indoctrination to Air Force processes. Interviews for jobs are an application on a dream sheet. The Air Force says, "You're going here," and you go.

Interview with recruiting officer and direct manager was smooth, overall positive experience. At the end I've decided the position was not for me but it was nice to learn more about
Had to go through college and ROTC or US Air Force Academy. That is the main part of the interview. Air Force academy includes your local congressman/woman for a nomination.
