Initial screening with the recruiting team covered basics including compensation expectations, which seemed aligned with the position's range. The first round of interviews, however, focused less on my relevant experience and more on clarifying details of my resume, such as gaps and previous unrelated job roles. There was a discrepancy in the expected versus discussed salary that came up mid-interview, which was significantly lower than the initial range discussed. I was also informed about multiple upcoming interviews. Based on these experiences, I decided not to proceed further and communicated my decision to the recruiting team. It appears there might be a misalignment in communication regarding salary expectations within the recruitment process.
