I applied online. I interviewed at UKTV in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process felt quite disorganised and unprofessional.
The interview date was rescheduled more than once, and when it finally went ahead, the interviewers were around 15 minutes late. Because of this, the interview felt rushed and I did not feel I had a fair chance to relax or properly present myself.
I was also under the impression that the interview would be with the hiring manager, but it ended up being with two members of management within the team instead, which felt slightly confusing and off-putting.
When I later received the email saying I had not been offered the role, I honestly felt I would have declined anyway based on the interview experience. Overall, the process did not give me the best impression of the company or team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me what I understood about the role, why I was interested in it, and to talk about a campaign I had seen recently that I really liked.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at UKTV (London, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
The Pros:
The team I met during the on-site tour seemed friendly, and the office environment was impressive. The initial communication was prompt and professional.
The Cons:
The interview process requires a massive time commitment that was ultimately not respected. I was asked to complete a take-home assignment that took 3.5 days of intensive work. After presenting this to the team and being given a full office tour, I was promised a decision within 5 days "no matter what."
It has now been 5 weeks. Despite multiple polite follow-ups, the company has completely ghosted. It is disappointing to see a company solicit 28+ hours of free strategic work from a finalist and then fail to provide a simple status update.
Advice to Management:
Respect the candidate’s time as much as you expect them to respect yours. If you require multi-day assignments, you must commit to providing feedback or at least a final "yes/no" decision. Ghosting finalists after an office tour is a poor reflection of company culture and employer branding.

Interview
Too many interviews. They ask you about your experience but also want to get to know you. I did 5 to 6 interviews, too many if you ask me. You know very well if you want the role after.
