      Project Manager Interview

      Jan 23, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Manchester, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Twinings (Manchester, England) in Dec 2025

      Interview

Very slow and poorly coordinated interview process Pros: The role itself sounded interesting and the people I spoke with were polite. Cons: The interview process was extremely slow and poorly coordinated. After an initial interview in early December, there were repeated promises of next steps and interview scheduling that were missed multiple times (before and after the Christmas break). Communication was reactive rather than proactive, and even confirming a first interview with the hiring manager took over a month with no clear timeline. For a senior role tied to a major HR transformation programme, the lack of ownership and follow-through was disappointing and did not respect candidates’ time. Advice to Management: Assign a clear owner to the recruitment process and set realistic timelines. If panels or stakeholders are unavailable, communicate this transparently rather than repeatedly committing to dates that are not met.
