Entrei no Tutor.com através da Latin Hire. O processo de seleção inclui uma prova de múltipla escolha dentro da área de conhecimento da pessoa (tem muitas áreas, matemática e outras exatas, vários cursos dentro das ciências, enfermagem, redação, espanhol, e muito mais). Você precisa fazer uma pontuação mínima para comprovar que tem conhecimento suficiente para dar as tutorias na área. Se você passar nessa prova, deverá agendar uma Mock Session, que é uma sessão com um mentor da empresa. O mentor(a) vai se conectar a você na sessão e simular uma sessão com um estudante. Ele(a) vai te fazer alguma pergunta na área que você foi aprovado e você terá que guiar o aluno para ele encontrar a resposta por si só. Na mock session você é avaliado quanto a conhecimento, didática, fluência na escrita e na fala em inglês. Se passar na Mock session terá que enviar documentos comprovando sua formação e bons antecedentes criminais. O processo todo levou menos de 15 dias pra mim, e isso porque optei por agendar a sessão com alguns dias de prazo para estudar os manuais...mas pode ser até mais rápido.

Fairly simple, was an online interview, had to review material before hand and provide analysis of said information when asked. Asked about experience with tutoring/education. Should get back to you after 2 weeks.

How would you explain how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich to a student who was struggling with the task.
I was scheduled twice for an online interview and both times the interviewer never showed. When I contacted their support team I was told both times to refer to the PDF troubleshooting guide.
First, you apply online. The application took less than 15 minutes. Then, you must pass at least two exams - specific to a top you want to tutor. However, you are not able to take the exam for each subject that the service advertises. Subjects are offered to tutors on a need based timeline. Next, you must conduct a virtual interview. It took approximately 30 minutes and half of the interview was chat based and half of the interview was on voice chat. Overall, if you are a competent tutor and have adequate social skills, you should have no problems passing the interview.
