      High School Admissions Representative Interview

      Jun 26, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Tulsa, OK
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tulsa Welding School (Tulsa, OK) in Jun 2026

      Interview

Applied online after seeing the job posting and completed an initial phone screening with a recruiter. After the screening, I never heard back. A few weeks later, I noticed the position had been reposted, so I applied again. The recruiter then told me they had forgotten to follow up and that I was still a candidate they were interested in. The second round was a virtual interview with the direct supervisor. The interview was straightforward and professional, covering my background, standard interview questions, and time for me to ask questions. The third and final round was an in-person interview with the Campus President and the direct supervisor. I received a campus tour, discussed my experience in more detail, and answered additional interview questions. The conversation was engaging, and I left feeling that the interview had gone very well. Unfortunately, the follow-up process was disappointing. After completing the final interview, I received only an automated rejection through Indeed. I initially thought it had been sent in error and had to contact the original recruiter myself to confirm that it was the final hiring decision. Considering the amount of time invested by both sides and that I had completed every stage of the interview process, I expected a personal phone call or at least an email from someone involved in the final interviews rather than an automated rejection. Overall, everyone I interacted with was friendly and cordial. However, the hiring process felt disorganized, from being forgotten after the initial screening to the impersonal communication following the final interview. I appreciate the opportunity to interview, but I believe the candidate experience could be handled much more professionally.
