There was a pre-interview quiz that took about 10 minutes. They'll send it over before the phone interview. It's too help them understand the way you think being that the position is very detailed oriented. The in-person interview is straightforward and similar to any interview I've had. I was interviewed by 2 people and they alternated questions. After the interview, you're asked to read a couple documents about the position and then to use that information to help with the next part of the test. The second part of the test you're given 2 examples of the work record collections does. You read through the vet records and answer questions related to the documents. This process ended up taking about 2 hours. I felt uncertain about the answers I had provided, but I think most interviewees would feel that way because it is a lot of information at once. My opinion is that Trupanion does this to see how a person thinks - to see their attention to detail in action. Personally, I think it's great for employers and potential employees. This gives the employer and interviewee an idea if they would be a good fit for that position. Honestly, it helped me with my decision after being hired. The questions I asked myself were: can I do this for 8 hours a day? Is this the kind of work I want to be doing? I think it benefits everyone in that sense. No one likes unhappy employees & no employee likes to be unhappy. I think it was a great interview technique.
