      Call Center Agent Interview

      Aug 22, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Oakland, CA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Transdev (Oakland, CA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

Applied online which advertised more money than they actually paid. This however could be an error from the recruiting website. After applying, it took them about 2 weeks to get back to me and setup an interview. They're not very efficient at scheduling the interviews; as they were 15 minutes late. Nevertheless, I met with 3 lovely ladies - fantastic attitudes, and very professional. However, I led this interview for the most part. I met with all 3 at once, and dominated it by telling them about myself - this is my technique when meeting with a "panel" . After talking for about 20 minutes, they said they would get back to me in a few days. They did in fact call me that same day, about 2 hours later with an offer. They offered me 15 dollars an hour - entry level pay. Needless to say, I did not accept this offer; as I should be paid more than someone with entry level experience - I have 12 years experience in a call center. Their pay-scale for this position should be DOE. I imagine this is why they are low on real talent. Big turnaround it seems, lots of empty desks. They did in turn offer me another position for a little more money, but not enough. This business operates 365 days for dispatch and call center, but be fair warned, this is only a good job if you have minimal experience and dont mind working for 3 dollars more than minimum wage; and you live close by. I admit they have some nice people working there, very nice; but not efficient at getting somebody hired. I hope they read this, because to acquire seasoned talent, you need to pay more.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They did not have any questions - they tell you about the job, and then you give your feedback. This isnt a bad technique, as they can figure out if you're going to be a good fit or not.
