I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (Santa Barbara, CA) in Oct 2023
Interview
It was a group interview. They asked interesting questions, but the format of the interview didn't seem effective. They asked us questions in the same order every time, so the poor last person at the end never got to go first. Seemed like he was struggling to answer without seeming like he was copying other people ahead of him in the line.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
I had 3 separate interviews. 1 was over the phone. 2 were in person. I never heard anything after the third interview. I called the store about a week later and they let me know they didn’t actually have any available positions. Really felt like they wasted my time.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Trader Joe's (West Hollywood, CA)
Interview
Casual, took place outside of the store. First I had a phone call interview. Then another which was in-person with 2 of the mates in the store, and finally a third in-person with the captain of the store.
