Interview
I applied in person. Upon handing my application and resume to the Mate at the desk, he asked me a few questions. A few days later, I did get a call asking me to come in for an interview. The interview took place back in the warehouse part of the store. The Mate interviewing me was very nice and fun to talk to. I could tell he really loved the company and his job. Overall, the experience was great. Sadly, I received a call from the Mate that interviewed me stating I was not selected for the job. He said it was a hard decision, but he chose to go with another candidate. I was heartbroken. That's okay, I'll be back every 14 days to resubmit my application until they understand I'm not going away.
It's two to three interviews, the final with the Captain (or highest manager) of the store. The interviews are largely to get to know your personality and how well you would do at customer service.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
Very chill, asked things a lot of job interviews don't, more personal down to earth questions. Made me feel very comfortable. Professional but also cool vibes from everyone who interviewed me. Went to one interview with mates and another with the captain.
