Should have ran from the minute I went in. She was over an hour late. Her front desk team said she was coming from a client meeting (which I found out later was her go to excuse for just plain, not being able to come in on time). They looked pitiful, like they knew they were covering for her. I know this now, because it is the same look I gave to many people after that.
When she finally strolled in, her dog lunged and barked at me, she laughed it off and told me "not to look at him". I am a dog person, so I feel bad for anyone who is afraid of dogs. There was no apologies for keeping me waiting, it was like I was doing a favor to her by being there and trying to give her large sums of cash. One of the employees then went into her office, for over 15 minutes, and then finally said I could go in. The whole interview was her telling me things, for every 1 thing she asked me, she had 3 things to tell me. Needless to say, the interview process was lengthy. The reason she probably doesn't ask many questions is that she just uses the mentees as free labour (it's illegal by the way, almost all internships must be paid according to employee standards- ministry of Labour) She has several mentees per actual paid employee at each wedding. Which may be fine if she is there overlooking it all, but she usually arrives several hours after most preparation is done, and all issues that have arisen has been rectified (by unskilled, untrained workers!). It is lucky that she gets such good reviews, because if she didn't happen to get people so dedicated to the bride and groom and making their day perfect, her business would collapse on itself. She literally doesn't have enough paid workers to support it. Her claims of being the "only mentorship program in Canada", and "largest wedding panning team" are unfounded claims. Just like her job offer letters- IT'S ALL MADE UP! She cuts and pastes things from google search results. Give it a try- google a document she has given you! My red flag was when my job description spoke about celebrities and had really questionable duties- I plugged it in to google search, and up came the job description for a similar role in another company. No wonder she is always worried about copyright infringement- she does it on a daily basis!
