A week after I applied online, I received an email invitation for a face-to-face interview. I had to arrange a suitable date and time with one of the firm's owners, as well as, my flight ticket and stay over in Singapore. Upon the day of the interview, I was met up with him, and much later on together with the firm's GM. The entire interview was rather casual and relaxed, and the owner even shared with me openly some of the firm's current challenges. He felt that I could be part of his firm as someone who could greatly turn the company around. Eventually, he asked me to provide him a proposal and position title that weren't related to the applied position above. The GM didn't ask much relating to the opportunity.
After the interview, the owner went off for his marriage honeymoon. We kept in touch for a while until the exchange of messages went completely silent. I followed up after 3 weeks later, but it was in vain. Not a single response, just plain silence, and eventually severing all future connections. What bad business etiquette!
