I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TikTok
Interview
Effective and to the point. Five 30 min rounds, usually back to back or on the same day. focused conversations with room to share your experience and ask relevant questions. Good support through the process for additional conversations.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at TikTok in Aug 2025
Interview
I had a 30 minute phone screening with HR 8/6/25 where the specialist explained that the interview process would be five rounds of interviews, all ~45 minute 1:1s with the two hiring managers for the role + three other key stakeholders. I quickly had an interview with the first hiring manager--we had a great conversation, he greenlighted me to go on in the process and even said I could add him on LinkedIn and message him if there were any delays from HR in the hiring process.
I then had the rest of my interviews scheduled across three weeks in August 2025. The last one was with the second hiring manager on 8/27/25. All interviews went pretty well, spanning the daily tasks of the role, the big picture of the team, future of the role and things on a personal level.
I was supposed to hear back within a week of my last interview with an update. I did hear from HR asking if I had met with the second hiring manager (she clearly had no recollection of us meeting, or taken any notes of our conversation). They then asked me to meet with the second hiring manager again, saying I was a frontrunner for the role (making it a seventh 45 minute interview). I responded with my availability. No response from HR. Followed up again a few weeks later. No response.
Message the first hiring manager on LinkedIn in September 2025. No response. They've reposted the position for Vendor Manager - USDS countless times; I stopped paying attention.
It's now December 2025 and I've had no response from anyone at TikTok after six interviews and one phone screening.
It's very clear that they did not value my time, or respect me as a candidate. For a company that has two values highlighting transparency, they're extremely hypocritical. Don't waste your time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you balance and prioritize conflicting priorities?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Dublin, Dublin) in Dec 2019
Interview
5 Individual video-conference interviews. Each Interviewer will ask similar questions, giving a sense that they weren't talking to each other. unorganized, rushed and asking questions not related to the role.
After two weeks without news, they only came back with a No when asked for an update. No feedback or further communication was provided.
Very disappointing and negative experience overall.
