Interview
Very bizarre interview and surface questions. It is apparent that the organization has not invested in streamlining the candidate experience process. The type of questions asked during the interview were puzzling. Also, the interview is very robotic and rather tactical. Within the first 5 minutes of the video call, I wanted to end the conversation. While the interviewer was quite nice, she didn’t come across as authentic and didn’t even bother walking me through the role, or responsibilities, etc. It is a good thing that I wasn’t selected for next round, as I would have declined 100%. This role is important, but TikTok is clearly not ready to begin the work in an impactful way. The reviews (candidates and existing employees) says it all.

Interviews were placed into the diary very last minute by Hiring Manager with little indication of the format/context of the meeting. First round is with HR, second round is with someone from the business. Interview was very generic talking about experience, with no follow up questions.
