I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2019
Interview
My worst interview experience ever. The interviewer who was super snobbish delayed 10 minutes, at the end of the interview she almost directly closed her laptop closed to my face without even thanking. Just the hr person who called me from Berlin was super polite, punctual and helpful and at the end, one week later they just sent a readymade template to me instead of at least a polite constructive feedback. It has been a gigantic waste of time for me.
Phone screen with a recruiter, hiring manager, peers on the same team, third party to assess general fit. Hiring Manager then completed before decisions on offer. It was smooth and efficient if not overly feedback
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation where you worked with multiple stakeholders.
Interesting conversation, thought provoking. Interview with Line Manager was tough but got through it. Strangely, interview with skip was easier but did not get the offer. Nice interviewers though, wondered what was missing from my experience that I did not pass the skip manager round.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Dublin, Dublin) in Jun 2020
Interview
My hiring experience was excellent!
Dana, the Talent Acquisition Partner at TikTok Dublin was prompt, professional, and transparent. She went above and beyond to clearly outline the benefits package and impact at the company. Throughout the interview process I was outlined clear expectations on the process, estimated times, flexibility with scheduling, and an overall wonderful experience. I was interviewing with DoorDash, Pinterest and Facebook at the same time and I'd say TikTok's hiring experience was my favorite. The Trust and Safety team interviewing me were extremely smart, kind and professional.
In light of these factors, I accepted the offer and moved to Dublin!
